Reliability without Visual Noise
Administrative buildings do not need their washrooms to compete for attention. They need them to feel orderly, appropriate and dependable for staff, official visitors and meeting participants.
For the State Council project, MICAWA supplied a coordinated range of sanitary ware and water fittings designed to support that quiet standard. The emphasis was on consistency, straightforward operation and a product language suited to a formal public building.

The Challenge: Different Access Levels, One Building Standard
The facility included washrooms serving different groups and access conditions. Visitor-facing spaces, staff areas and meeting facilities could not all be treated as identical, yet the building needed a coherent overall specification.
Too much variation would complicate procurement and maintenance. Too little flexibility would ignore the different functions of each area.
A Restrained Product Strategy
MICAWA established a core family of toilets, urinals, basins, faucets and sensor-operated fixtures. The products could be configured according to the washroom area while maintaining consistent forms, finishes and operating principles.
This made approvals more focused. Instead of comparing unrelated products for every room, the project team could review a limited set of coordinated combinations and apply them where appropriate.
The relationship between fixtures was considered early. Basin and faucet proportions, flushing arrangements and installation conditions were aligned before production, reducing the likelihood of inconsistent solutions appearing later on site.
Managing the Supply behind the Specification
A formal specification only works if production follows it. MICAWA carried the confirmed product direction into manufacturing and inspection, keeping the approved combinations identifiable throughout the supply process.
Delivery follow-up and technical information supported the contractors responsible for implementation. This helped preserve the consistency of the building-wide specification from sample selection through installation.

The Result: A Practical Standard for a Formal Building
The completed programme provided the facility with a coordinated bathroom standard that could adapt to different areas without becoming fragmented.
The State Council project reflects a type of engineering capability that is easy to overlook: the ability to make multiple products feel simple, repeatable and appropriate for the environment in which they are used.
