Hongguang Hotel

One coordinated bathroom programme to reduce the complexity of five-star hotel procurement.

A Small Space with Too Many Supplier Interfaces

A hotel bathroom may occupy only a few square metres, yet it can involve sanitary ceramics, faucets, shower controls, bathing products, glass, furniture, stone and plumbing interfaces.

If every category is managed separately, the hotel team becomes responsible for making all of those products work together. Hongguang Hotel needed a simpler route.

MICAWA coordinated the principal bathroom product categories as one package, reducing the number of disconnected decisions carried by the project team.

The Challenge: Make the Room Feel Calm

Guests should not notice procurement complexity. They should see a bathroom in which finishes align, products sit comfortably in the space and every control is easy to use.

Achieving that result required careful coordination behind the scenes. Basin and faucet dimensions, toilet placement, shower controls and bathtub fittings had to work with the room design. The same relationships then had to be preserved across repeated guestrooms.

One Review for the Complete Product Group

MICAWA brought the toilet, basin, faucet, shower faucet and bathtub selections into a common review.

This allowed the project team to compare products in context. Finish differences became easier to identify. Installation conflicts could be discussed while alternatives were still available. The team could also define which room types shared the same package and where a different combination was required.

The result was a shorter and clearer list of approved room configurations.

Coordinating What Happens after Approval

A coordinated sample set is useful only if the supplied products match it.

MICAWA managed production and quality review across the selected categories, helping maintain the intended appearance and specification. Delivery was coordinated with the room programme so the site team could identify the correct package for each area.

By keeping technical questions connected to the approved combination, MICAWA helped prevent one category from changing in a way that affected the rest of the room.

The Outcome: One Bathroom Programme instead of Multiple Product Streams

Hongguang Hotel shows how consolidated bathroom supply can reduce project complexity without reducing design control.

The hotel received coordinated product combinations supported by one manufacturing and service process. For the procurement team, that meant fewer category gaps. For the guest, it meant a bathroom that felt like one room rather than a collection of fixtures.
